CEVA has announced the 2023-2024 Junior Girls’ Power League schedule. The schedule is still subject to change and any changes will be announced separately to clubs and online.
Open Power League will start on December 17 with their Power League Qualifier. The Junior Girls’ Committee made changes to this division, including using the Qualifier to determine the top 32 teams that will move forward into Power League 1. Teams who finish lower than seed 32 in the Qualifier will move back into their regular age divisions for Power League. The exact format of the Qualifier is still being determined. Open will play December through March, to allow teams to travel to national events in April.
All other age groups have similar formats to years’ past. The 14s and 16s divisions will continue to have two Power League qualifiers, while the 12s and 18s have one. The 16s and 18s qualifiers will take place prior to MLK weekend.
The GJNC Bid Tournament will be held on March 3 for all age groups. Policies surrounding seeding and entry into that event remain unchanged by the Junior Girls’ Committee.
Regionals return to the Portland Expo Center in 2024, with the 12s and 14s playing on April 27-28, and 16s, 18s, and Open playing on May 4-5.
Registration for Power League opens on Monday, November 6 at 9:00 AM via the CEVA website. The deadline for Power League registration is November 30 at 3:00 PM. Teams may not switch divisions after the deadline. Teams who are registered in Open after the deadline will play in Open and may not move. Registration for the Bid Tournament and Regionals opens on the same day. The Bid Tournament deadline is January 31, and the Regionals deadline is February 29.
Registration for the CEVA Kickoff Tournaments, Presidents’ Day weekend events, and other stand-alone events opens on October 2 at 9:00 AM via AES.
