As part of CEVA's community outreach and continued work within the organization's DEI Action Plan, we have formed a partnership with Self Enhancement, Inc. and the Multnomah County SUN Schools program to produce a series of after-school volleyball clinics at select elementary schools in the Portland area. All of these schools are part of the SUN Schools program.
Winter Term runs from January 10th through March 3rd. Generally, clinics will be two nights a week, from 3:30-4:30 or from 4:00-5:00.
Spring Term 2022 dates: April 4 through May 26.
If you can't volunteer your time as a coach, but still want to help, here are a couple suggestions:
- Share this website with your friends, on your social media, and through other networking channels you have access to.
- Speak to your club director about getting the club involved, through coaching, donating, or partnering with a school.
- Make a donation to the program through the link above. Donations will be earmarked for the schools in the SUN program.
Sign-ups to participate in these clinics run through Self-Enhancement, Inc. If you have students who may be interested in participating, please contact SEI.
Special thanks to Baden Sports for assisting with providing equipment for this program. The equipment used during the clinics will be donated back to the schools and students at the conclusion of the series.
Dick's Sporting Goods has provided financial assistance for this program and we are grateful for their support.
We are thankful to Cinda Jackson at SEI, the SEI/SUN Site Managers, and the volunteers who have helped make this program a success.
