CEVA has two scholarship funds that can directly assist student-athletes and their families with their unpaid club dues.  Scholarship monies are distributed to clubs and applied to the student-athlete's club account by the club.  No monies are distributed directly to families or athletes.

The CEVA Memorial Scholarship Fund assists student-athletes who can demonstrate financial need through proof of receiving government assistance (such as free/reduced lunch programs, WIC, etc).

The CEVA #VolleyTheChange Scholarship Fund assists student-athletes who have other barriers to entry besides financial need.  Established in the Summer of 2019, the #VolleyTheChange Scholarship aims to help players of color, players from an ethnic minority, and players who identify as members of the LGBTQ community.  This scholarship is also intended to remove barriers to entry for players who have a chronic medical condition, mental health condition, and/or learning or physical disability.

Applications will be available on this website in both hard-copy and electronic form.  The deadline will be 5:00 PM on Friday, January 29th, 2021.

Both of CEVA's scholarship funds are mainly supported by contributions and donations from members of our community.

We welcome contributions to the CEVA scholarship funds.  100% of your contribution benefits scholarship recipients.  Each season, CEVA staff will determine the scholarship details based on contributions into the fund.

Contributions can be made at any time by mailing a check to CEVA Scholarship Fund, 4840 SW Western Ave, Suite 450, Beaverton, OR 97005.  Additionally, donations can be submitted using our online donation form.

As a registered 501(c)3 business, CEVA will also provide a donation receipt for tax purposes.

In order to qualify for a scholarship award, the student-athlete must be a full junior member of CEVA.  Athletes who purchased a tryout membership, a single-event membership, or a Fall membership must have their membership upgraded by Friday, January 29th, 2021 at 5:00 PM.  If a student-athlete's membership is lapsed or not upgraded by this time, the application will not be considered.

Scholarship applications submitted by e-mail should be done in PDF format if at all possible.  File uploads via the online application system should also utilize PDF formatting.  Applications and/or documentation received that is unreadable, applications that are missing documentation or required information, will not be considered.

Due to a likely uptick in demand for financial aid this year, we anticipate the scholarship selection process this year to be very competitive.  Please ensure that your application meets the requirements outlined on this page and on the application itself and is submitted by the deadline.
