ATHLETIC TRAINING POLICIES

PT Solutions is the official provider of sports medicine services for the CEVA Regional Championships.

CEVA will have athletic trainers on site at the Portland Expo Center for the duration of the CEVA Regional Championships.  Trainers are not on site at Olympus.

Their primary role at the tournament will be to serve as first responders in case of injuries that occur during the event.  In keeping with that role, we ask athletes to abide by the policies below.  All coaches should carry a first-aid kit with basic supplies.  Ice bags are not available.

1 – You must provide tape, pre-wrap, and other supplies necessary if you wish the athletic trainers to treat a pre-existing injury or perform any preventative treatments (e.g., taping ankles).  These materials and supplies are not available for sale from athletic trainers.

2 – Athletes are responsible for allowing enough time for athletic trainers to properly treat their injuries or perform any preventative treatments.  Athletic trainers will be available starting at 7:30 AM on all days of the tournament.  Plan for long lines at the beginning of a wave.

3 – Athletic trainers are not available for any rehab or “prehab” activities.

4 – Athletic trainers will have disposable ice packs available for injuries that occur during the tournament.  Ice bags will not be available due to the clean-up work involved.

5 – EMTs are on site at the Expo Center for any medical emergencies.
