Why choose CEVA?  It comes down to our organization, our unparalleled support of our members, and our superior programming.  It’s our people, our values, and our commitment.  Simply put, we have avenues for involvement in volleyball for all ages and abilities.

USA VOLLEYBALL

CEVA is one of 40 regions of USA Volleyball (USAV), the National Governing Body of volleyball in the United States.  Through us, you have connections to the USA National Team, High Performance opportunities, and extensive administrative support.  Our staff is available during regularly-scheduled hours by phone and e-mail.

COACHES

If you want to coach, we can likely direct to you an opportunity.  All CEVA coaches have access to free coaching education through our partnerships with USA Volleyball, the American Volleyball Coaches Association, and the Art of Coaching Volleyball.  All coaches are required to attain a baseline coaching education to participate in USA Volleyball.

SAFETY

We are dedicated to the safety of our athletes and coaches.  USAV and CEVA have the strongest and most comprehensive background screening program in youth volleyball, far superior to other youth volleyball organizations.  We also implement mandatory SafeSport training, risk management education, and a universal code of conduct for all adults affiliated with juniors.

PARTNERSHIPS

With CEVA, you’ll have multiple opportunities to take advantage of our existing partnerships with Baden, the AVCA, the Art of Coaching Volleyball, Fine Designs, Sonny's Wellness, Hudl, Starlings Volleyball USA, and Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

According to a recent study by the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), 18.5% of children ages 2-19 exhibit signs and symptoms of obesity.  This number rises to over 20% in children ages 12-19.  See the full study here.

Studies also show that physical activity can help treat or prevent depression in children, particularly teens.  CEVA clubs offer multiple opportunities for kids to get physically active.

SUPPORT

CEVA has three full-time staff dedicated to customer service and support of our clubs and members.  We have a home office in Beaverton and are readily available.  Our club directors, coaches, and members know we are never more than an e-mail or phone call away.  We also have extensive resources available on our website.

CLUBS & PROGRAMMING

If you want to start a club, we can help from start to finish!  We support clubs throughout the State of Oregon and SW Washington to offer numerous opportunities for junior boys and girls to participate in volleyball.  In 2020, there were over 100 clubs available in our region.  We offer well-organized programming and events catered to the level of play for teams, including numerous local and club-hosted events.

OFFICIATING

USA Volleyball offers the most in-depth officiating training and education for all members at no charge.  CEVA promotes and organizes free in-person training clinics for clubs and teams.  If you want to officiate, it’s a great way to stay involved in the game and earn some extra money.  We'll train you!  Paid officials are assigned to all CEVA-sanctioned events, and we have officials on every match at our Presidents Day, Bid Tournament, and Regional Championship events.

VALUES

CEVA works to promote diversity and inclusion throughout our organization, and strives to create the most welcoming environment of any volleyball organization.  CEVA’s Blue Ribbon Club program actively rewards clubs who are promoting good sportsmanship and behavior.  We have been trailblazers in the youth volleyball community with these initiatives.
