The CEVA Region is now accepting nominations for the Cindy Leatherberry “Silent Hero” Award, which will be given in conjunction with the 2022 CEVA Regional Championships next month.

The Cindy Leatherberry "Silent Hero" Award is meant to give recognition to an administrator or other club member who goes above and beyond, behind the scenes, to make the season a success for their club and teams.  Previous winners of this award have included travel coordinators, chaperones, fundraisers, accountants, and others who might not ordinarily be the "face" of a club.  Recognizing these individuals are just as important to the experience for players and families, this award is given typically given annually in the CEVA region, however it was not given in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nominations may be submitted by anybody in the region.  The nomination form can be found at this link and on our Regionals website.  Nominations are due by 3:00 PM on Friday, April 8.

Cindy Leatherberry was a long-time Portland Volleyball Club administrator and became a friend to many both in PVC and the region.  Her 18 years of service and integrity made her a stalwart in our community.

The winner of this award will be recognized on CEVA’s website, social media, and at our Regional Championships.

The CEVA Regional Championships will be held on April 23-24 and April 30-May 1 at the Portland Expo Center.
