The Columbia Empire Volleyball Association (CEVA) will be continuing our partnership with Self Enhancement, Inc. and the Multnomah County SUN Schools program to produce free after-school volleyball clinics for elementary-aged students in Portland in the Winter Term.

Clinics last approximately one hour and occur on two afternoons per week.  Exact sites for the clinics in Winter are still being determined.

CEVA is looking for coaches that can help staff these clinics.  Our goal is to provide two coaches per school.  Coaches need only possess basic volleyball knowledge, a good attitude, and a positive mentality for interacting with the students.  In-depth technical instruction is not necessary.

Coaches are eligible for numerous benefits, including a per-clinic stipend, adidas gear, and equipment upgrades for their school or club if they so choose.  CEVA pays for the PPS-mandated fingerprinting and background screening for those who need it.  Minors (under age 18) are eligible to participate and will be paired with somebody over 18 per PPS policy.

More information on our after-school clinic series and a sign-up form for coaches can be found on our website – www.cevaregion.org/sei
