Three New Members Elected To CEVA Board

Andrew Yoshihara, Hector Escobar, and Charley Stanton have been elected as new members to the CEVA Board of Directors.  Their terms will begin on July 1st.  Additionally, Greg Clark has been reelected to his position as the Officials’ Representative on the Board, and his second term will begin on the same date.

Yoshihara has been elected as the Diversity & Inclusion Representative on the Board.  Yoshihara is a current member of the CEVA Diversity & Inclusion Committee and is the founder and Executive Director of Bustin’ Barriers, a local non-profit that works directly with disabled youth.  He also works in the DEI space as a consultant.  He is not affiliated with a volleyball club and lives in Portland. 

Escobar has been elected as the Parent Representative on the Board.  He is a current CEVA head official, and has spent time as both a coach and player in the region.  He works as a programmer and technology developer and currently lives in Eugene.  Escobar has also expressed an interest in working with CEVA’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

Stanton has been elected as the Junior Girls’ Representative on the Board.  He currently coaches multiple teams for Athena Volleyball Academy, where he also serves as the club’s Technical Director.  The Hillsboro resident brings experience as a player, parent, coach, and administrator.

Clark will serve his second term as the Officials’ Representative on the Board.  He is a current USAV Junior National Official on the indoor side, and a National Official on the beach side.  He is the Chair of the CEVA Officials’ Committee, which has worked on recruitment efforts, training, and increasing overall efficiency for our referees.  He also serves as CEVA’s Beach Officials’ Chair.
