CEVA is pleased to announce an expansion to our current partnership with the Portland Expo Center, whereby we will be able to set up our portable courts in the building for clubs to use as practice and tryout space in the 2020-2021 season.

Beginning December 1st, CEVA is planning on having 8 courts available in the Expo Center for clubs to rent.  Several clubs have already scheduled times for their own use, whether it’s for pre-tryout clinics, tryouts, and practices.  Courts are available on Tuesday and Thursday nights for two-hour time blocks.

CEVA’s relationship with PEC runs very deep.  The region enters this season with plans to run the Regional Championship event at the facility for the third time.  PEC is also the location of the storage space for the 24 portable courts CEVA owns.

Clubs who may be interested in utilizing this space may reach out to Cody March via e-mail for current availability.

A key component of this plan is a newly-formed partnership with Underdog Sports of Portland.  Underdog Sports hosts a variety of leagues in numerous sports and activities for adults throughout Portland.  Among those are co-ed indoor, outdoor, and grass volleyball leagues.  Underdog leagues are laid back and operate on the premise that you don’t necessarily have to be “good” at sports to have fun participating in them.

Underdog will be providing staffing at Portland Expo Center to help conduct health screenings of participants upon arrival, assist with cleaning courts, and other monitoring functions.  The current plan would allow Underdog to host indoor league nights at the Expo Center starting in January.

For more information about Underdog Sports, we encourage you to visit their website at www.underdogportland.com.

CEVA is deeply grateful to both the Portland Expo Center and Underdog Sports for their commitment to making this partnership a success.  Specifically, we are thankful to Eric Peters of Underdog Sports, and Alicia Crawford-Loos, Matthew Rotchford, & Chuck Dills of the Portland Expo Center.
