CEVA has named Greg Clark as its new Beach Officials’ Chair.

In alignment with CEVA’s goal to see continued growth of the Beach game in the region, formalizing this appointment is an important step.  Clark will be the point person in-region for officiating questions, training, and assignments for Beach volleyball.

Clark is an experienced official both in the sand and in the gym.  He earned his Junior National Referee certification for indoor play at the GJNC in Indianapolis in 2019.  Earlier in 2019, he became CEVA’s only certified National Beach Referee.  He has officiated Beach events for USA Volleyball, the AVP, as well for as various collegiate leagues in the Pacific Northwest, including the Pac-12 Conference.

Clark led a training initiative in early 2020 to certify 5 new local Beach officials in our region, which included leading a classroom training session and organizing an on-court training.  He has also assigned officials to Beach events in the region this Summer.

Clark serves as the Officials’ Representative on the CEVA Board of Directors, and chairs the CEVA Officials’ Committee.  He will work alongside CEVA’s indoor Officials’ Chair (Marcia Costley) and indoor Scorers’ Chair (Paula Martin) to continue the growth of our officials’ cadre, and will add representation from our region on the national stage.

CEVA Executive Director Cody March:

"I've come to have a ton of respect for Greg and his passion for the growth of the game in our region.  Appointing Greg to this position was a natural fit and I look forward to working with him.  Between Greg, Marcia, and Paula, we couldn't ask for three better representatives on the national stage."
