Show Your Support During COVID-19 Crisis

CEVA is encouraging all of our clubs to say “thanks” to the numerous first responders and frontline workers who are working hard every day to treat patients, and keep us safe, during the unprecedented times we’re in.

Doctors, nurses, clinicians, and many others in the medical field are working overtime to keep up with demand.  Hospital and clinic occupancy numbers are surging, and there are many more cases anticipated in the coming weeks.  Additionally, grocery store workers, delivery drivers, and numerous others in essential industries are tirelessly working to provide for the needs of us all in a time of never-before-seen demand.

Also, due to restrictions in place at medical and care facilities, many patients can have either limited or no visitors while facing unknown circumstances.

We want to see what our clubs can do to show their support not only for the workers, but for those in need, during this trying time.  A couple ways to do this:

  • Send cards, notes, or letters with words of encouragement or thanks to a medical facility’s staff.
  • Send flowers or other tokens of appreciation to facilities (either to patients or to doctors)
  • Make a video of players or coaches saying thanks to doctors, nurses, workers, or other frontline staff (in any industry) and post it on your social media.
  • Arrange a time when you can connect with a patient(s) in a facility via a video chat.

Whatever you do as a club, a team, or as an individual, post it on your social media (via pictures, TikTok, etc) and tag CEVA’s social media channels in it.  Our staff will pick a few winners in the coming weeks and send them prizes.

In times of uncertainty, we focus on the positive.  Stay strong, CEVA.  Look after each other and take care of one another.  We’ll get through this together.

(Thanks to Alyssa Pratt, a CEVA Tournament Director, for the basis of this campaign.)
