WHAT IS MENTAL PERFORMANCE COACHING?
Mental performance coaching is a process that helps individuals optimize their mindset, understand and navigate their emotions, and develop cognitive abilities and skills to enhance their athletic performance and achieve their goals. The coaching process involves the use and teaching of approaches, methods, and interventions rooted in decades of sport psychology research.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM MENTAL PERFORMANCE COACHING?
Athletes, teams, parents, coaches, and club personnel—from recreational to elite levels—can all benefit. Mental performance coaching is applicable to any type of performance at any level*.

TYPES OF MENTAL PERFORMANCE COACHING:
One-on-one coaching is for those who seek private meetings individually tailored to their unique needs and goals. Individual sessions help you learn new sport psychology concepts and mental skills you can put into practice immediately. They also provide a source for ongoing support throughout the learning and application process, unexpected hurdles, achievements, college recruiting, and more. (This is the primary form of coaching Anna provides.)

Small-group coaching is ideal for beach volleyball partners, a collective of coaches, or other pairs and small groups who want to strengthen their connection, perspective, and resilience together.

Workshops (individual or series) are geared toward larger team- and/or program-wide audiences, and they take the form of classroom-style lectures, active learning through team-building activities, facilitated discussions, or a combination thereof.

Mental performance coaching “office hours” provide clubs, teams, and programs a way to offer their athletes ongoing one-on-one mental training. Contact Anna for further details.

Anna works both in-person and virtually with athletes and teams.
